The service area is a small, roughly triangular section of the southeast quadrant, bordered by the Genesee River to the west, I-490 to the east, and Linden Street, South Avenue, and Gregory Street to the south. SWPC administers home repair grants through the Federal Home Loan Bank of NY and the NY State Affordable Housing Corporation, helping homeowners to increase the life of the structure, improve health and safety issues, and alleviate the financial burden of large repairs. Must have lived in the home for 3 years and meet income qualifications.
Monroe County's Home Improvement Program (HIP) provides grants or grant/low-interest loans to income-eligible homeowners for home repairs and improvements in the suburban towns and villages excluding the City of Rochester and Towns of Greece and Irondequoit.

The Irondequoit Home Improvement Program (I.H.I.P.) is funded by the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program. Under this program, based on your income you may be eligible for a subsidy that will pay up to $4,900 of your home repair and improvement costs.
(also referred to as Housing Intake) is a locally-funded program that gives community residents opportunities to address home maintenance needs they wouldn’t be able to accomplish on their own because of the financial cost involved. This includes replacing/repairing non-working furnaces, installing new roofs, and remediating lead hazards.

The Residential Emergency Services to Offer Home Repairs to the Elderly (RESTORE) program provides financial resources to assist senior citizen homeowners age sixty and over, with the cost of addressing emergencies and code violations that pose a threat to their health and safety or affect the livability of their home. Assistance for the cost of these critical repairs will enable seniors to continue to live independently in their homes.
